This award supports the Program Director for the Nonprofit Leadership Studies Program and boosts ÑÇÖÞɫͼ State’s ability to recruit and retain faculty with the expertise and commitment needed to lead this ÑÇÖÞɫͼ. 

Inspiration

Commitment to public service, leadership, and the nonprofit community run deep in the lives of both Dr. Robert Long and Patricia Mendez-Long as both came to ÑÇÖÞɫͼ after long and successful careers in the nonprofit sector. In 2008, Dr. Long retired from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to serve as the ÑÇÖÞɫͼ State University Visiting Distinguished Professor of Nonprofit Leadership. Through this faculty award, the couple has made a commitment that will ensure that generations of nonprofit leadership students will learn under the guidance of a ÑÇÖÞɫͼ director with the talents and experience needed to ensure that they grow into effective leaders capable of making a difference in their communities.
